It has … Read more This Really is a Very Nice Looking Original Antique American Primitive Stoneware Storage Jug. Circa Late 19th Century. It has a Very Unusual Low Center of Gravity Shape - Form. This type of Small Size Jug was typically used for Cider - Hard Cider - Liquor - Spirits Etc. It has a Beautiful Dark Cobalt Blue Hand Decorated Stylized Design (Possibly Antlers) on the front with a Number 1 in the Center Denoting 1 Gallon Liquid Storage Capacity on a Stone Gray Color Salt Glazed Exterior. It has no maker marks. It is most likely from the Up State New York or Northern New England Region. It is in Very Good Strong - Sound Condition with No Chips - no Cracks - No Repairs - Displays Beautifully. It has Some Slight Age Staining Color Variation at the Lower Section.
It Measures 9 1/4 inches Tall x 8 1/4 inches Wide - Long.
