A spectacular lidded box designed by Maitland-Smith in the 1980s, rendered in tessellated marble, stone, travertine, and brass. Pyramidal square shape with assorted colors of sand beige, black, and off-white with a very interesting geometric checkerboard marquetry pattern. Inside is in beige suede and the lid has a little brass finial. No visible maker's mark. Please pay attention to the measurements this is a very large box !!
Measurements: 16.57 in. wide (42 cm) x 16.57 in. deep (42 cm) x 5.13 in. high (13 cm).
