It is an Antique Plain Uplift pattern ironstone tureen, it is white ironstone covered tureen with Burgess & Goddard , Prince of Whales Royal Patent markings on the underside. The company was in business from 1840's to 1890's, in England. My Measurements are approximate: 9 ¼" long (not including handles) 11 1/8 including handles X 6 ½" wide, 6 5/8" height (to top of knob). Condition: age light crazing; interior has light brown spots.. see photos; no chips. Handwash less
