I purchased this beauty from an antique/vintage shop in Weston Missouri in the 1990s. The shop had a beautiful selection of antique and vintage items but also featured handcrafted pieces made by local artisans. This beauty was made by one of the local artisan wood craftsmen. It is solidly constructed from solid wood and finished in an antiqued creamy matte paint with intentional distressing which gives it a very aged, antique vibe. The fabulous “mismatched” intricately carved wooden drawer pulls are hand painted in rich jewel tone colors. Tongue and groove joinery was used to construct the drawers. Each drawer cubby has a catch so as to not allow the drawer to fall out. The chest measures 13¾” x 10” x 6½” W/H/D. Each drawer measures 3½” x 5¼” x 3½” W/D/H; weight 7 lbs. 1 oz. In excellent condition. Intentionally aged/antiqued finishes with hand distressed accents throughout. I used it to store napkin rings in the drawers and had it placed atop my sideboard in our former home’s dining room. An eye-catching petite storage chest that will look fabulous anywhere its placed.
