The porcelain handles are all in beautiful shape, save two small chips on the "HOT" handle and a small fleck of white paint that I just noticed when taking photos. All of the letters are in excellent shape and the porcelain is smooth, no stains, free of crazing. The porcelain escutcheons are in great shape; there is wear o and two tiny chips on the inside rims, and one hairline crack, none of which are noticeable once assembled. One handle has the receiving back plate glued or stuck into the handle; one handle does not have the receiving back plate. Please see pictures for details and condition. less

Early 1900s set of porcelain bathroom faucet cross handles marked "HOT", "COLD" and "WASTE" (for the drain), each with a graceful--and hard to find--escutcheon marked "Mitchell-Bissell Co." on the bottom inside, along with the number 1209. Add to your bath or create towel hooks by mounting them for use! The faucet handles are each threaded on the outside and splined inside. The "COLD" and "WASTE" handles have chrome threads, and the "HOT" handle has a brass one, added later. Mitchell-Bissell Co. was founded in the 1800s and produced porcelain fixtures and other industrial products in the early 1900s.
Condition consistent with age and use. The porcelain handles are all in beautiful shape, save two chips on the "HOT" handle and a small fleck of white paint on another that I just noticed when taking photos. All of the letters are in excellent shape and the porcelain is smooth, no stains, free of crazing. The porcelain escutcheons are in great shape; there is wear and two tiny chips on the inside rims, and one hairline crack, none of which are noticeable once assembled. One handle has the receiving back plate glued or stuck into the handle; one handle does not have the receiving back plate. Please see pictures for details and condition.
The cross handles each measure 3 1/4" across and 1 3/4" deep. The stem is about 5/8" in diameter. The flanges measure 2 7/8" round and 1 1/8" deep. The inner hole measures approximately 7/8" round; the spline is a bit smaller. less
