This " Home Made Prints by David Hockney " rare vintage 1986 first edition offset lithograph print softcover collector's Pop Art exhibition book is a very special and unique book to add to your library collection.
The softcover art book with laminated paperboard covers is printed in Switzerland in 1986 by Waser Druck, Zurich on the occasion of the exhibition " Home Made Prints " at The L.A. Louver Gallery in Venice California in 1986. It features a monograph survey of the " Home Made " Pop Art print works by David Hockney, with compelling accompanied text about the works and his process written by the artist.
David Hockney ( B. 1937 ) is an English painter, draftsman, printmaker, stage designer, and photographer. He is an important contributor to The Pop Art Movement of the 1960's. He is considered one of the most influential British artists of The 20th Century. His artworks have commanded greater popular acclaim than any other Contemporary British artist. The Pop Art Expressionist style artworks have been the subject of more than 400 solo exhibitions. Art works by Hockney are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print 1st edition Pop Art exhibition book measures 8 5/8" W X 11" H X 1/8" D, with 30 pages. It is printed on premium paper stock featuring offset lithograph print illustrations.
