Great looking shelf bracket in solid American black walnut with a live edge shelf front, sap wood detail and marked on the back. The wood was recovered from a tree that was over 200 years old that was blown down in 2014 by a powerful storm. The tree was located at the SCHUYLER estate in New York. It was 126 feet high and 22 feet in diameter. A real champion of a tree.
In the mid-century style of George Nakashima or the early 20th century Adirondack / Camp style.
Created by Todd Young for LIVING EDGE DESIGNS of Rhinebeck, NY. This bracket is a one-of-a-kind, solid wood American artisan made shelf bracket or possibly a book shelf when laid flat. Display your artwork or use as a candle stand or adapt to your artistical decorating style.
It measures 25" h x 11.5" w x 10" deep. There is a V-cleat hanging bar on the back and a spacer bar so it will lay flush. It has a hand rubbed oil finish.
There are four similar brackets available separately. They can be used individually or together to form a wider shelf less
