Really Beautiful Scalloped Florentine Papier-mâché Tray. The image depicts a portion of the fresco in the Villa Dei Misteri (Villa of the Mysteries in English) in Pompei, Italy.
The center art appears as though it might have been added later, but upon closer inspection it is clear that it is original because of the indentations around the center (see photo).
The green around the scalloped edge is very vibrant. The back is really interesting. Has a diamond/harlequin shaped indented back.
