Vintage Postmodern geometric design decorative box white tessellated stone and lined with cedar wood.
This vintage 1980's Post Modern hexagonal handcrafted box by Maitland-Smith is made of white tessellated stone with brass finial, decorative, lidded keepsake box, with brown felted base bottom, protective padding.
The lidded box has inlaid white stone tessellated details throughout.

All of Maitland-Smith Keepsake boxes, have their own unique design esthetic, along with the crafting involved.
The stone have their own unique nuanced colorations, Consistent with the style, materials, and detailing of pieces produced by Paul Maitland-Smith's namesake company that manufactured many of their products in the Philippines. The stone has subtle light earth tone variations that contrast with the reflective brass accents. They blend wonderfully with Mid-Century Modern, Art Deco, and contemporary interiors.
