The image … more This rare, limited edition Space Gallery Opening with Recent Work by Masami Teraoka is signed by the artist. The image on this poster is from his work entitled "New Views of Mt.Fuji; La Brea Tar Pits". This out-of-print poster was created by Space Gallery Los Angeles in 1980 in conjunction with his ground-breaking show: Reception Saturday, December 6 7-10pm Daily 11-6pm Thru January 10. Signed on the lower right.

About the artist: Masami Teraoka was born in 1936 in Onomichi, Hiroshima-ken, Japan. He graduated in 1959 with a B.A. in aesthetics from Kwansei Gakuin University, and continued his education to receive a B.F.A. and an M.F.A. from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles in 1968. Integrating reality with fantasy, humor with commentary, and history with the present became his working challenge. His early paintings are often focused on the meeting of his two cultures—East and West. less
