Description: This is a gorgeous set of 4 solid wood dining chairs done in the Italian Renaissance style. They look like … more This is a gorgeous set of 4 solid wood dining chairs done in the Italian Renaissance style. They look like they were made in Spain. The top is a large medallion with surrounding bows. The chair tops have self finials. The seats are rush that have no stains and are uniform in color. These chairs were at one time darker and were redone in a pale grey lacquer with a very faint blue around the medallion. I am unsure of the age. The woman we bought it from said they came from the grandmother. I think the color change they made make these more current. I cannot find this chair or anything similar to the carving. So decorative. They a strong with no breaks. You can see a back join line where they joined the two pieces of the medallion. I would love these with a simple wood table either round or rectangular. The table could be white, brown or black.

Condition; Solid. Some spots where the grey shows a darker color underneath. You can touch up or leave. The seats have a subtle sheen from a light clear coat. The seats are the same color and are not stained. Tiny little finish scrape. You do not have to add cushions but you could. On the back a visible join line where they put the medallion wood together.
