The holy grail of LUCITE Display Units. This is one of the nicest lucite etageres we have ever seen. The Lucite is very thick and heavy. This is extremely high quality Lucite which has NO yellowing. Notice the thickness of the Lucite. Circa 1970.
This piece has been designed by the very esteemed "Master of Lucite" Mr. Charles Hollis Jones and he has seen this piece in person and confirmed that he is the designer of it. Circa 1970's. Unmarked
This is the ultimate finishing touch for your Hollywood Regency or high glam abode, this etagere is a wonderful staging point for your very best treasures. Not only at home, but if you have a retail store or space at an antique centre this is the ultimate way to showcase your wares.
The top and bottom are wood. The top has a built in lighting unit that can be turned on and off by the switch on the cord. There are 4 thick glass shelves
You could add a 5th shelf, if you desire. The Lucite poles are rimmed in metal at the top and bottom of the four corners. There is a thick wood base at the bottom.
Condition:
There are some surface scratches on the Lucite. The Lucite is is amazing condition for its age. There is a crack in the plastic on the top below the lighting unit.
Vintage condition with age appropriate wear; scuffing and scratches. This wonderful piece appears well maintained. Even with its imperfections, in our opinion, it does not detract from the charm of the piece.
