Gorgeous vintage Scandinavian Modern teak veneer extension dining table by Henning Kjaernulf for Vejle Stole Mobelfabrik. Talk about Dazzling Danish Dining!!! This is an incredible rectangular shaped teak extension dining table designed by famed Danish artist Henning Kjaernulf for Vejle Stole Mobelfabrik. It is STUNNING!!!! It is finely constructed in a minimalistic design indicative of Scandinavian Modern style with its straight clean lines and fabulous teak veneer. And the draw leaf feature is wonderful as the leaves are hidden under the tabletop making them very inconspicuous. When you need to extend, simply lift, and pull the leaves out from underneath the table. The versatility and convenience of this table is exceptional! It can be utilized as a smaller rectangle table when dining for two or four or as a breakfast nook or game table BUT if you want to have friends or extended family over and need more places to seat guests, it’s an easy fix! The smooth lines of this Scandinavian Modern table will blend beautifully with many interior design styles from Danish Modern to modern country or a mountain rustic house, and from mid-century modern to industrial or a home with a western flair. It is perfect for a growing family, someone who loves to entertain, or someone that likes to have options and versatility! It may also be wonderful as a conference table at the office. Henning Kjaernulf was a Danish designer who sold his work through several manufacturers in the 1960’s. Kjaernulf's Expandable Teak Dining Table was sold through Povl Dinesen, a Danish maker. This massive teak table is an engineering triumph and true work of art. Though his work is sought after, information about the designer himself is a bit harder to come by. Kjaernulf’s works reveal quality craftsmanship, featuring clean Danish modern era lines with sculpted edges and shapes. For example, his Razorblade Chair backrests distinguish him from other Danish mid-century designers. His wooden designs are crafted to perfection. He designed for many manufacturers however, mostly with EG Kvalitesmobel, Nyrup Mobelfabrik, and Veje Stole Mobelfabrik.
