Though undated, they style, dry-mounting, and age give us the best clue as to the date, which we believe to be 1940s.
This is really an exceptional piece of the highest artistic quality. We have done our best to identify the artist before listing it, however, our search has come up empty. Perhaps some old fashioned detective work on the buyers end will turn up the artist' name. Considering the overall quality of the art, we would not be surprised if this turns out to be by a listed artist.
Dimensions 8" x 10". Comes unframed. Please note: This has been dry-mounted to paperboard. At one time, this was thought to be the best way to preserve the art. Of course, now we know better.
Good condition (considering the dry-mount) This will look fantastic in a contemporary frame.
This is really a great find for the collector of vintage cubist art. One of the best we've seen.
The various notes in pencil may yield clues. (see pics)
