This is a framed signed reproduction of an Edna Hibel original painting entitled "Mexican girl".
I reached out to the Edna Hibel Studio to get some more information on this piece prior to listing it. They informed me that this particular piece of art is one of, if not the first, reproduction produced of an Edna Hibel painting. They said they believe it to be one of 3 Hibel reproductions produced by Aaron Ashley of New York City at some time during the 1970s. The original painting was probably created around 1939. This is a rare piece because any other Hibel reproductions were only made by her studio during that time..
The art is framed in a gold metal frame with glass front.
