Gorgeous Chinese cloisonné Teapot in bright blue, yellow, and multiple green colors. Decorated with a nature scene with birds, flowers, butterflies, sky, lake, flowers, very beautiful.
The age wasn’t mentioned but it could possibly be an antique. The auction house I purchased it from sells with “Asian antiques”.
It’s pretty heavy, weighing 2 1/2 pounds. It’s in very good condition for its age with no noticeable dents or chips in the enamel.
I did find about five other similar cloisonné tea pots online for $400, $800, and$1500. I will ask/start at 750 which seems like a nice mid range price. The other teapots were similar but they weren’t identical.
In good condition with no dents or chips in the enamel. There are some “flea bites” which are naturally occurring small holes that happened to Cloisonné enamel overtime. These should be considered a tool for aging rather than an imperfection.
