This is a stunning Museum quality piece.
This piece is Functional and beautifully detailed and comes complete with lid and brass base which is rare. The entire piece is made of brass. The underside of the base is supported by wood. The lid is a thin pierced brass, while the body and legs are solid.
The bas has little slots for the feet to sit in and it is removeable. So it will come in 3 pieces.
This Moorish Islamic brass brazier were used to heat the tribal Berber tents in Morocco, Turkey, and the Middle East or used for incense burning during religious ceremonies. It was also used as fire pit outdoors.

It is a beautiful conversation piece and truly a work of art.
It is unmarked so I am not quite sure the date of this piece. With many hours of research I would say later 19th or early 20th century. less
