This pair of Antique Chinese Arm Chairs is made in elegant Ming style. Traditional Chinese "coiled dragon" design ornately carved on the back splat of the chairs. The relief carving is very delicate and three dimensional. Both the arms and the back splats of the chairs are crafted with deep curves. The front opening underneath the seats is uniquely crafted in "arch" shape. The chairs are handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and tenon structure, which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Circa early of 19th century. Original Wear and Patina. Made of Elmwood with beautiful wood grain, the chairs are very solid and have been kept in excellent condition.
