From the Park Avenue collection NYC same as the French wingback chair, this piece came over on a ship in the late 1700 or 1800s, most recently made it’s way to Denver upon late owner’s request, as it was one of her more favored pieces, upon closer inspection, it is relatively easy to see as to why. This hand carved piece seems more like art or sculpture than a bureau or desk, it is nearly 300 years old, still in outstanding condition, having beautiful patina to the wood and leather, and with all 5 of its skeleton original keys, circa 18th century, England. less
