This is all handmade … Read more This very rare Fused Art Glass Lamp by Sebino Arte of Italy is from circa 2010.
This is all handmade by glass-working masters. On the upper left hand corner of the lamp it says, Homage to Gauguin, written in Italian.
Paul Gauguin (1848-1903), was a French post-impressionist artist. He used bold colors, exaggerated body proportions and stark contrasts and this iconic lamp was inspired by his works of art.
There is a very small chip on the backside right hand top corner, which is not visible from the front. And very common for handmade fused glass works of art, there are a few 'glass blemishes' on the piece. There is one on the cheek and one in the hair.
Shown are some pictures of the lamp lit up, although it does not come with a cord or bulb.
This is a very rare item....and very cool!
