This beautiful vase is made of thick clear glass with some nice optic effects. The vase is from the “Ventana” series, which Mona Morales-Schildt is best known for. Her designs are seemingly simple but there is a complexity in the way light refracts within the crystal and on the surfaces of the vase. Signed: "Kosta | SS 5333" (see pictures). Height: 7.7''; width: 4.3''; depth: 3''. Weight: 2.1 kg. Excellent vintage condition.

Mona Morales-Schildt was one of Sweden’s leading glass artists of the 20th century. She was a prominent designer of cased art glass with strong colors and optic effects. Her artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. less
