Fantastic vintage table lamp, likely having been made in the first half of the 20thC, maker not known.

Classic and very chic Italian carved wooden urn form artifact, possibly an architectural detail, converted to a lamp. The base is undoubtedly from the 19th century and is well carved with scroll handles and body accented with leaves. This appears to have been gold leafed over a traditional gesso/red ochre foundation. A perfect accent piece in the Hollywood Regency or Mid-Century Modern decor.
This lamp is in fine working condition and has a three way socket. No harp, finial or shade included.
Lamp measures 24" to top of socket, 19" to top of urn handles. Handles are 16" wide and the base has a depth of 7.5". Condition is typical for these converted wood pieces: Chippy goodness and wear that is well shown in all the photos. Very stable and structurally sound, no looseness. Unmarked, undated. less
