Classic and very chic Italian carved wooden urn form artifact, possibly an architectural detail, converted to a lamp. The base is undoubtedly from the 19th century and is well carved with scroll handles and body accented with leaves. This appears to have been gold leafed over a traditional gesso/red ochre foundation. A perfect accent piece in the Hollywood Regency or Mid-Century Modern decor.

This lamp is in fine working condition and has a three way socket. No harp, finial or shade included.

Lamp measures 24" to top of socket, 19" to top of urn handles. Handles are 16" wide and the base has a depth of 7.5". Condition is typical for these converted wood pieces: Chippy goodness and wear that is well shown in all the photos. Very stable and structurally sound, no looseness. Unmarked, undated. See less
