Created in China during the Qing Dynasty, this side cabinet features a linear silhouette perfectly complimented by a red lacquer finish accented with hints of a black lacquer. A rectangular waisted top with central board sits above an elegant façade presenting three deep drawers in the upper section, followed by two longer ones below. All of them are fitted with ornate pulls and are adorned with hand-carved raised panels. These motifs are echoed on the sides, in a manner creating visual continuity. Raised on four horse hoof feet, the chest boasts a nicely weathered patina with age cracks expected to be seen on a piece with this age.
