Description: A very rare vintage set of 12 Old Paris Cups and Saucers. The were my grandmothers, who was a great … more A very rare vintage set of 12 Old Paris Cups and Saucers. The were my grandmothers, who was a great collector of old Paris, and fine antiques, and was a superb entertainer.. Purchased in 1985 from Tulver's Antiques in Lakewood Ohio. They have only been on display in a cabinet, we haven't used them to eat or drink..The appraisers report reads: Especially fine gilt edged hand painted cups and saucers with boldly rendered polychrome floral borders. The cups finished with apple green and broad gold inner borders. Superior quality. Origin Paris, France circa 1820-1830.
No chips or cracks, but there is wear on green border of a few saucers and worn areas of the gold finish in some of the cups. See last two photos. I am limited on images for listing. Please ask for details and additional photos. My dimensions are approximate Saucer 6" diameter 1' high, Cup 3 1/2 diameter 4 1/4 to edge of handle x 3" high. less
