This really is Absolutely Beautiful Original Matching Set of 6 Large Size Antique American Sterling Silver Formal Dining Table Individual Seating Place Card Holders. Circa Very Early 1900s. American in Origin. Each is Completely Hand Made - Custom Made. The Fancy Reticulated - Solid Cast Fronts are done in a Classic Italian Rococo "Putto" Style. The Hinged Back Stands are Also Completely Hand Made in a Complicated Multiple Piece Construction Process. At the Top - Back of each is a Clip that Holds the Place Cards. 4 of the Holders have a Salamander in their Design and 2 of them Have a Lobster. They have No Maker Mark. They do have a Very Small 925 Silver Mark on the Back Side - Base Area. They have been Professionally Tested and are Absolutely Guaranteed to be Solid Sterling Silver. The Set is in Very Nice All Original Condition - No Issues - They Display Beautifully. Note! that they are Quite Tarnished - Could Use a Good Cleaning - Polishing.
The Set of Six Has a Substantial Combined Solid Sterling Silver Total Weight of 163.94 Grams - 5.271 Troy Ounces.
Each Measures Approx. 3 1/2 inches Tall.
The 4 Salamander Holders are 2 3/4 inches Long at Base.
The 2 Lobster Holders are 2 1/2 inches Long at Base.
They are Approx. 1 1/2 inches Wide at Base as Displayed - Stands Included.
