This Fiorucci rare original vintage 1976 Postmodern New Wave Italian fashion collector's lithograph print custom framed large Pop Art poster is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The lithograph print Pop Art poster is printed in Italy in 1976 in an unnumbered limited edition by Arti Grafiche Ricordi - Milano fo the New Wave Italian fashion brand Fiorucci. It features an amazing Postmodern Pop Art style graphic image in a beautiful vibrant multicolor palette.
The world famous Italian fashion brand was founded in 1967 by Elio Fiorucci. The first shop exposed Milan to the styles of swinging London and American classics such as the t-shirt and jeans. By the late 1970's and early 1980's this would be reversed, and the New York store would become famous for the fashions it introduced in The United States.
In the early 1980's the Fiorucci boutique in New York City was the epicenter of the New Wave Postmodern fashion scene. It was the place to be, and referred to as " The Daytime Studio 54 ". It attracted trendsetters including Andy Warhol, Jackie O., Truman Capote, Debbie Harry, and a young Madonna, among many other creative and well known people.
Fiorucci made better posters than any other fashion brand ever did. The posters sold the clothing for sure, but the posters were the product also. They were hugely desirable. Clothing inside the closet / posters hung on the closet door. Fiorucci posters were a collectible Pop culture phenomenon.
The rare out of print large format Postmodern New Wave fashion framed Pop Art poster measures 27 1/4" W X 39" H X 1" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern satin finish black metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling. It is brand newly custom framed and has never been displayed. Please see photos for condition reference. less
