Large midcentury plein air landscape featuring a vibrant Fall season foliage mountain landscape with rocky cliffs, and a narrow roadway and rolling morning fog. Likely to be an outlook point along the Blue Ridge Parkway running through Virginia and North Carolina, as piece comes from a Virginia estate. Signed lower left "Helen Gillespie." Either oil or acrylic on masonite board.
Displayed in original painted and distressed barnwood frame which has a small chip in lower left corner. Without frame, the work measures 23.5" x 30.5". less
