Excellent Pre-Owned Condition.
Snowberry is a late period line introduced by Roseville Pottery in 1947. Standard colors included pink, green and blue. The molded design features white snowberries on branches with interspersed leaves over gracefully curved lines. The dusty pink background is glazed with brownish undertones, graduating from a light pastel shade at the top to a deep maroon at the base; interior is a pale blush that is also full glazed. Art deco-inspired handles; rim with three holes that you can attach either a chain (not included) or rope (included) for hanging. In excellent condition with no visible use wear on the interior. Exterior is also in beautiful condition with little wear and only a line or two of crazing that is mostly indiscernible (see close-up photos). There are three firing pin marks on the interior bottom as a result of the manufacturing process. This piece is unmarked. It measures 8” wide handle tip-to-handle tip x 5¾” rim diameter x 5” high; weight 1 lb. 15 oz. The Roseville Pottery began making decorative ceramics in 1892 in Roseville, Ohio. The company moved to Zanesville, Ohio in 1900, becoming one of the largest pottery companies in the country before going bankrupt in 1954. For a collector of Roseville’s Snowberry or a hanging planter aficionado this beauty is a must have or the perfect gift for someone who is!
