Description: Vintage; C.1950's-60's Mid-Century, Italian terra-cotta by Ugo Zaccagnini of a bronze brown and verdigris green matte glaze finish to this … more Vintage; C.1950's-60's Mid-Century, Italian terra-cotta by Ugo Zaccagnini of a bronze brown and verdigris green matte glaze finish to this Greco-Roman God or Soldier, statuette depicted with Dove bird in hand, perhaps a symbol of peace, along with left hand posed on side of hip, a soldiers laced boots, along with the aquiline nose and face, with 3-dimensional hair, as close up images showcases. Marked on the underside, with his signature "Z," with a squiggly line across the center roof this letter, and underneath the Country of Provenance, "Italy," and below this letter H and a production number, somewhat indiscernible, as this piece has had some condition issue, PRIOR to us obtaining it, but to not affect the quality of the piece, WE choice not to touch it, given the period of production with use, normal and conducive. In good condition. Please see condition, which was when we obtained it, otherwise a distinctive piece by a seminal Italian ceramicist of the Hollywood and Mid-Centry period within Italy.
