19th century French Carved Oak Hall Center Table a Gibier Marble Top Louis XIV. Direct from France. Large French table “a Gibier”, perfect size for a hall or sofa table, with stunning hand carved details. Serpentine edged wide frieze features large carved shell center with carved foliate and floral design. Six shaped carved legs with carved cross stretchers and center stretcher having wide carved block center. Carved on all sides, perfect as a center table, to ‘float’ in a room. Thick, beveled edge marble top. Well built by craftsmen of the period. 19th century.
Measurements
29.25”height x 48” x 30”.
The carved oak base is 28.25”ht. x 47.5” x 29.5”.
The marble top is 1”thick x 48” x 30”.
