- Blue & white porcelain square bowl with cut corners features an American eagle in the center with a banner reading … more Blue & white porcelain square bowl with cut corners features an American eagle in the center with a banner reading ‘E Pluribus Unum.’ Made by Vista Alegre for Mottahedeh, this piece was designed for the diplomatic reception rooms of the Department of State and the White House. The designs are adapted from Chinese export porcelain, circa 1810, bearing one of the earliest depictions of the American eagle found in ceramic decoration. Measures 6.5” in diameter.
