Pair of vintage Chinese Homespun blue and natural stripes decorative pillows.
Decorative pillows finished with antique natural linen backing and natural linen self-welt. The Miao are one of several ethnic minorities living in the subtropical mountainous areas of South-western China for thousands of years, these migrating peoples have developed rich, cultural traditions and they are increasingly being recognized for their extraordinary handcrafted textiles. It is the area of costume where mythology, technical skill and cultural identity coalesce in vivid aesthetic expression.
Handstitched closure (no zipper.) handcrafted and designed in the USA with custom made pillow inserts.
