A superb antique basket with a center geometric pattern and lid from Cororzal, Belize. This basket was possibly weaved by the refugee Mayan Indians who settled in Corozal, Belize in the 1840s. This custom made basket was specifically weaved for AH. Marie Louise Johnson in 1927. Light fading to exterior surface, otherwise in very good antique condition with normal wear from age and use.
