This antique commode from Italy has a shapely serpentine facade, houses three drawers, and is presented on carved bracket feet. The chest has a hand-painted finish about the top, and three sides in a lovely floral motif delicately framed within acanthus-scrolled cartouches. The drawers are fitted with metal knob pulls and old botanical paper lines the inside. This antique Italian hand painted serpentine side-chest would work well alongside a sofa or chair, or perhaps in a powder room for hand-towels and toiletries. less
