Description: Chinese landscape scroll, freely drawn ink on heavy paper, mounted on a sky blue and silver, floral silk brocade, signed, … more Chinese landscape scroll, freely drawn ink on heavy paper, mounted on a sky blue and silver, floral silk brocade, signed, with a poem in Caoshu script and with numerous red seal marks in various sizes and shapes. A mountain hermitage is in the foreground nestled within a grove of tall pines next to a river, with a few more houses mid ground, amid lofty mountain peaks fading into the distance in unique Chinese aerial perspective. The image size is 24 3/4" wide x 50" high. With a dark silk hanging cord and storage cord at the top and black jikusaki at the bottom. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century. less
