Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso lavender purple "Alexandrite" with blue accents Italian art glass color changing elephant figurine / sculpture. Documented to the Cenedese company. The elephant has light blue accents on the tusks, eyes, ears, and the bubble inside the body. The piece is made with Neodymium "Alexandrite" glass, which changes color from daylight to indoor light, from a lavender purple to ice blue in this case. It also contains a high amount of Manganese, which makes it turn a pinkish orange under a black light. Would make a great display piece on any desk, curio or vanity. Mid-century era. Measures: 4 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" long.
