This Keith Haring Estate rare vintage 1989 lithograph print custom framed collector's Pop Art poster " International Youth Year " 1985, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The fine art poster print is published by Te Neues Publishing Company, printed in Germany in 1989 in an unnumbered limited edition with the authorized licensed rights of The Estate of Keith Haring. It features an artwork image originally created by Haring in 1985 titled " international Youth Year ".
This is a rare opportunity for true Keith Haring fans and collectors as this coveted image Pop Art poster print is long out of print and very scarce to find. The official " KH " Estate seal of authenticity is printed on the poster in the lower right bottom.
Keith Haring ( 1958 - 1990 ) was an incredibly vibrant American artist and social activist who's artwork responded to the 1980's Street culture by expressing concepts of birth, death, sexuality, and war. Haring's work was often heavily political, his imagery became a widely recognized vivid and iconic visual language of The 20th Century. Haring's close friends and inspirational contemporaries included Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat, and Madonna all of whom he collaborated with in his lifetime. Artworks by Haring are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The year 1985 was proclaimed by The United Nations as the " International Youth Year ". It was held to focus on issues of concern to and relating to youth. Throughout the year, activities took place all over the world that were coordinated by The Youth Secretariat within The Centre for Social Development and Humanitarian Affairs, at the time based at The UN offices in Vienna, Austria. The year's slogan was of " Participation, Development, Peace ". This artwork image by Haring was created in celebration of this special year, and a United Nations stamp of the artwork was also released the same year.
The rare out of print collector's framed Pop Art poster print measures 23 3/4" W X 31 3/4" H X 1" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern satin finish black metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean condition with very light signs of handling.
