A most distinctive antique, circa 1870, Portuguese Renaissance Revival carved walnut trestle table with beautifully aged warm, rich dark patina!
Born in Portugal during the second half of the 19th century, featuring impressive Iberian peninsula rustic craftsmanship and high-quality handcrafted solid wooden construction, richly hand carved and sculpted detailing, having a rectangular shaped thick single slab plank top with molded edge and attractive aging, atop a conforming base fitted with one large dovetailed frieze drawer, over ornate stretcher-joined trestle supports with scrolled accent, terminating in substantial lion paw animal feet.
