Bench surface shows a "tan line" from having pieces sitting on top of it. One end of the bench has some scratches (see photo) on the top surface but they are faint. Hutch drawer does not close all the way in because its height exceeds the opening just so slightly. A quick and simple sanding on the top edge of the drawer front should make it fit in the opening. less

Mid century modern walnut low bench with hutch designed by Merton Gerhsun for American of Martinsville's Danish line from the 1960s. The low bench, which can be used as a coffee table has three drawers with brass accents on the legs and stretcher. Hutch has two sliding glass doors as well has grooves on its shelves for displaying plates (not shown in the photos). The drawer on the bottom of the hutch has divided sections for flatware. Hutch is placed on the left end of the bench but one can put it anywhere on the bench or even use them separately. Both pieces are not finished on the backside and designed to be placed against the wall.
*Hutch drawer doesn't close all the way in (see details on condition report).
