It is American in Origin - Circa Approx. 1930s. The Interior has a Large Threaded Hole that would have been used to Attach the Dog to the Top Round Hitching Post - Pipe - See Photograph in Listing. Even though it was Made as a Hitching Post Topper it Could Also Be Used as a Doorstop. The Dogs Collar has the Letters ABC in the Casting on Two - Both Sides. Not sure what the ABC Actually Means ? Maybe you will know. It appears to have been painted more than once in its journey but the existing paint does have some age. It is Quite Heavy Weighing Well Over 10 Pounds!. Condition - The Tail has Been Broken Off. The 2 Piece Casting is Connected by a Large Screw that is Tight but note that the 2 sides are still a Bit Loose - Mostly at the Base Area. It has a Very Nice Old Look and Displays Well.
Large Size!. It Measures Overall 12 inches Tall x 6 1/4 inches Long 4 inches Wide.
