- C.1950's-60's: Original Bjorn Wiinblad, Studio Line for Rosenthal (Germany), is this large, oversized ceramic, 2-two tone outer glazed Decorative/center bowl … more C.1950's-60's: Original Bjorn Wiinblad, Studio Line for Rosenthal (Germany), is this large, oversized ceramic, 2-two tone outer glazed Decorative/center bowl in a dark indigo blue and forrest green overall glaze, with an impressed floral design pattern. There is also an inner glazed cerulean to french blue coloration that offsets this bowl quite nicely. Maker's mark imprint and designer on underside round medallion impression/stamping marking, states; Rosenthal (Maker), designer (Bjorn Wiinblad). A conglomerate of daisies, semi-butterflies or Rorschach design to the top central body perimeter surround....we think that's is what they are, but is indiscernible, BUT the beauty of art, of any one of a kind piece, one may take away and discern their own set of imagery/images and symbolism or thinking into the production of this. But it is part of a series made in the late 1950's and early 1960's by Bjorn for Rosenthal, as a contributing ceramicist with a long history of collaboration with the Rosenthal Company.
