In great to excellent condition. We chose to polish the floor lamp, but we had to remove the lacquer seal, in order to polish this which protects the metal finish. We ca look into getting this re-sealed with lacquer professionally.

Vintage; C.1970's, "RARE," Design by George Kovacs, (Designer), for Koch + Lowy, (Manufacture) is this "OMI," version of a brass, articulating and adjustable floor lamp with original wiring and in working condition. The difference on this floor lamp is the shade, half moon-shaped shade has vented details, as well as handles on each apposing end of the shade, as an easy pull here and there, to and fro, up and down, left and right, etc. Marked adjacent to shade, states "Koch + Lowy," and OMI next to it, the design name given to certain floor lamps by the manufacturer. One thing some people need to know on ALL these types of floor lamps, when raining or lowering the br or pole for height inference, Do Not Force to lower, BUT that on the underside, one pulls the corded wiring to not have it mired internally, and creating that fluidity to raise and lower accordingly, and unbeknown to many, who have not discerned the capability and diversity of such floor lamps, given each individuals desired vantage height at any given time, or for whatever use specifically for such tasks, i.e. reading height next to a comfortable chair, OR more allover illuminating light, by raising for overall sphere, etc. limitless. The floor lamp has ben lovingly polished from the patina to enliven and enhance the beauty of brass, such as it is, long-lasting life, IF taken care of. WE "only," adhere to use WENOL, a non abrasive, non-residual evidence, of a soft pink paste with soft cloth, and then soft cloth wipe away. and then a cleaning...once that is done, some can choose to seal in a clear lacquer coat OR not. That would have to be professionally done, and can be, Inquire within, as WE don't always attend to that, unless fully give the reins to polisher/plater to do an extensive attentive detail to such matters. In great condition. From a Boca Raton, Florida Estate.
