We are going with the premise that the distress to the enamel, the patina on the metal and the amazingly rich cobalt Southwest or maybe French Art Deco graphic is authentic.

Our one hesitation is that the enamel surface and edge distress is too perfect and was factory made.

But, the graphic and color are exceptional and this piece does not feel like a modern reproduction. We also did an extensive search online for listed and sold comps using both keywords and images and nothing remotely close to this particular graphic showed up (they would if this was a modern, mass produced piece.)

If you have other ideas please do not hesitate to correct us!

Some of our research also suggests that this might be a Deco-era French milk container. A few similar shapes did come up online, all with patterns that can be either Southwest or Deco!
