A beautiful pair of tapering Chinese pewter vases with brass inlaid and applied decoration mounted on mahogany (or possibly teak) bases with linenfold carving. The brass inlaid and chased decoration features birds on a flowering branches. The surface has minor wear and irregularities making these a very charming pair with wonderful patina. Also included are the original copper inserts for floral display. These date from the early to mid 20th century are marked “CHINA” on the wooden base. From an estate.
Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use.
