Whimsically delightful late mid-century (1970s) bamboo and rattan plant stand. The cute lined basket was woven in Mexico and is included. This cutie belonged to my mom who always had it placed in her screened in porch or on her covered front porch, so it was protected somewhat from the elements. The frame, wheels and spokes are handcrafted from bamboo, while the decorative elements (rosettes, etCentury) along with the bindings are made from rattan. In excellent condition with one “fix” on the curve of the left handlebar. The bamboo at the curve was splitting so my husband filled it with resin glue which blends in with the natural color of the bamboo and make it structurally sound (see photo 7). It measures 19” x 16½” x 8¼” WithD/H; 6¾” planter ring diameter; weight 1 lb. 4 oz. The handwoven lined Mexican basket is included and measures top opening diameter 10½”; 5¾” base diameter; 7¼” high (will accommodate a pot or planter that is 6” to 7” high; weight 3 oz.); color is naturally aged bamboo and rattan. A real cutie that will give any space a boho chic vibe.
