His furniture was inspired by French Classicism, but Arbus re-interpreted this in very modern ways. This pair of chairs is a perfect example. They are beautifully executed in sycamore with a red lacquer, and models of perfect form and proportion. They are upholstered in dark brown silk velvet. These chairs are from the William Switzer Furniture Company. They are authorized reproductions of an Arbus armchair. They are in excellent condition. less
