Detail:
Expertly hand sewn cushion cover made from a gorgeous piece of Morris and Co's Seasons of May design printed on a linen and viscose mix. "Seasons by May is our interpretation of a c.1895 embroidery called Spring and Summer designed and most likely stitched by May Morris. Produced on a textured cloth featuring a mirrored trellis of parakeet’s birds curving around stylized roses, tulips, leaves and turning stems accented with intricate detail across the feathers and petals.
The luxurious and very soft Italian suede velvet is the perfect complement to the linen. Used in the front and in the back sides in a mustard yellow color. The velvet is crafted in Italy and is a finely designed and crafted fabric.
The linen uses in the front side is completed interfacing to give additional strength and support; Making it extremely durable keeping its perfect shape.
A perfectly coordinated and also vintage fringe trim is added to the front side which designer corners to enhance the design and to add a further touch of elegance.
They have been piped using the same velvet suede fabric. PROFESSIONALLY handcrafted to embellish and highlight the pillow: I cover a Medium thick cotton cord by hand. I put my labor at the junction of the cord that the pipping looks like a continuous visual line (no end) on the outside of the seam and instead do NOT see TWO LINES (two ends).
All the seams have been double sewn and four stitched overlocked to prevent fraying and for strength. The cushion has a concealed zip beneath to allow you to remove your insert from the cover.
PILLOW COVER SIZE: 23x23 inches without piping.
This size is an approximation and is not an exact measurement. There may be a slight variation due to the material. It can be stretched more or less.
The finished dimensions in all my covers are always slightly smaller than the pillow inserts; creating a form-fitting designer pillow that is nice and plump.

This pillow cover is made to fit a 24x24 inches insert My designs are always cut slightly smaller than the pillow insert size to ensure a "perfectly plump" fit and I always suggest using high-quality pillow inserts like the ones I supply.
