Chair is in excellent antique condition and very … more Antique Heywood Wakefield Bent wood and Wicker Rocking Chair With Cane Seat. Chair is in excellent antique condition and very comfortable. It is also low sitting and without armrest so it would be ideal to use as a nursing rocker for a baby. Very beautiful designed back with the bent wood and wicker mixture. Very rare rocker I had not seen one before and after I got this one I could not find another one like it. Truly one of a kind rocker. It has so many added intricate details with the balls, bentwood, tips on all the vertical back pieces, the wicker swirls, and all woven together with the horizontal middle wicker pieces. The cane seat is in excellent shape with no holes or broke pieces with just slight even wear. It has beautiful turned legs with extra support braces in between and I believe the wood used on legs and rocker is cherry wood but I’m not 100% on that.
