This Victorian bridal basket has been in my family for over 100 years. My grandmother gave it to me. She inherited it in 1973 from her uncle who collected art glass in California. Please see my related art glass listings.
It is absolutely exquisite with a beautiful ruffled pink satin glass bowl that is highly detailed with raised flower designs and a star in the center. The silver stand is also highly detailed with flowers on the handle and on the base.
This bowl and stand are in excellent condition. Upon very close inspection, I see a small white dot where the pink satin color is missing. Please look at the close-up photo.
The silver-plate is in excellent condition and has been regularly polished and maintained.
It is marked Quadruple plate by Forbes Silver Co. on the bottom.
The silver stand measures 12 1/2" tall. The bowl is 10" in diameter.
