Description: Vintage Chinese tall and narrow stand chest with twelve drawers in two vertical lines and the protruding frame members to … more Vintage Chinese tall and narrow stand chest with twelve drawers in two vertical lines and the protruding frame members to the top and bottom, designed from the combination of Japanese Mizuya tansu and Chinese apothecary chest/medicine cabinet, the frames of the chest covered with hand-buffed brown finish in contrast with the black tone on the drawers, each drawer decorated with a brass pull mounted on traditionally formed brass plate, made from solid Yumu (Northern elm) and pine (drawers and rear panel), mid to late 20th century, in overall good condition with minor surface wear and marks commensurate with the age and use, private New York City collection
